Saturday, April 6th marked the 2024 iteration of our annual Sadie T.M. Alexander Pre Law Conference! From learning from esteemed legal professionals in our workshop sessions; to hearing from a brilliant panel of partners representing perspectives on legal practice in the private, public, and in house sectors; to connecting with representatives from distinguished admissions teams; and finally hearing from the brilliant @berniegetsyoupaid journey as an entertainment attorney— we had an enriching day indeed! It was an absolute honor to celebrate Dr. Sadie T.M. Alexander’s trailblazing legacy by supporting the next generation of legal minds with this year’s conference

We are so excited to introduce our keynote speaker for this year’s conference: Bernie Lawrence-Watkins! With over 20 years of expertise as a principal attorney at B. Lawrence Watkins & Associates, PC, Bernie specializes in Music, TV & Film, Technology, and Corporate Law. Her client roster has included names you know and love like Latto, 21 Savage, Yung Nudy, and more, along with major label executives and independent creatives. Bernie’s impact stretches far beyond the boardroom. As a dedicated community activist, she co-founded Gather For Good, empowering local nonprofits, and has volunteered extensively to uplift others. From lecturing at universities to serving on multiple boards, Bernie’s commitment to education and empowerment shines through.
